Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating after a 38-year-old man was killed Saturday in Northeast DC.
Police identified the victim as 38-year-old Michael Hansley of an unknown address.
Police say they were called to the 1700 block of Benning Road NE about 4:06 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, by reports of a shooting. When they got there, they found Hensley on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The 38-year -old succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
