The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Homicide Branch is looking for help finding a vehicle linked to a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 24 on the Unit block of O Street NW.
Police went to the site at around 12:48 p.m., after getting a report of a shooting. When they got there, the found five adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DCFEMS) responded to the scene. Two of the victims were dead on the scene and were rtransported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Three additional victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The decedents have been identified as 43-year-old Rashad Johnson and 53-year-old James Johnson, both of no fixed address.

The suspect vehicle is a 2020 Hyundai Sante Fe, black in color, with a possible Virginia temporary tag 956515X. The vehicle can be seen in the photo at the top of this article; a close-up of the plate is above.
MPD currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 for information on each homicide. That mean the total reward amount in this case is up to $50,000 for anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
