DCBOE Hosts National Voter Registration Day Event Monday

The DC Board of Elections (DCBOE) will hold a launch of National Voter Registration Day outside The Anthem (901 Wharf St. SE) Monday, Sept. 21 to highlight the importance of ing and voting.

Initiated in 2012, National Voter Registration Day has become so popular that since it was created, nearly 3 million people have ed to vote on this day. You can be one of them –head down to The Wharf and to vote between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21.

The event is a continuation of the “Vote Safe DC” Campaign launched by the DC Board of Elections prior to the June 2 Primary Election. The campaign encourages residents to utilize voter mail-in ballots for the elections in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

All ed DC voters will be mailed a ballot for the Nov. 3 General Elections. Those ballots will start arriving in the first week of October, DCBOE said. So ing now will help you get yours!

DCBOE wants to insure everyone has the opportunity to vote. You may to vote by email or mail by the October 13 deadline, or same-day at any Vote Center from Oct. 27 to Nov. 3, with proof of residency.
